Tutorial 14c: Pro Settings

This lesson will learn you about the different options in the Pro Setting tab of EnergyPlanner.

Transcript:

Finally, there are the pro settings concerning panoramas, the 3D world and animation. When entering or exiting a panorama, there's a certain amount of fade time. By default, this is two seconds, but you could change this if you'd prefer it to be shorter or longer.

If you would want the street view quality to be low, if you want faster loading times for example, you can also specify that, but higher quality will of course give the best results.

As we discussed in the tutorial about masking, we can customize Skydetect scaling, changing the quality of your Skydetect mask. Setting your preferred masking mode will change what masking option will be active by default when masking panoramas.

Now for the 3D world settings, it's possible to change tile caching. Changing this parameter will increase or decrease the amount of terrain the world can load and keep loaded.

Next, for the resolution scale, increase this for higher definition. Decrease this for lower definition but better performance.

Please note that while resolution scale improves image quality, it's very demanding on your system and may impact performance because the resolution scale of 2 effectively doubles your screen resolution. Therefore, setting the resolution scale higher than 2 is strongly discouraged, and we recommend using it only if your screen resolution is lower than 2560*1440.

Lastly, under animation settings we can check always center map at camera.

Now when we play an animation or just move around in the application, the view of the 2D map will always move along with the camera so that the camera becomes the center point of your 2D view.
