EnergyPlanner 2.45.0
In this update, we have started to focus on yield calculation for Solar, alongside significant optimizations and quality-of-life improvements across the editor.
New
-
Solar yield calculation
A new editor has been added to the Solar module panel containing the new Solar Yield calculation feature. This feature makes use of PVGIS, a widely used API. Calculation is done for a single solar park. -
Separate shadows in cast and receive modes
New options have been added to the shadow settings, allowing users to choose between no shadows, objects only casting shadow, only receiving shadows, or full shadows. -
MFA popup
A persistent popup has been added to the dashboard to improve security. If the user does not have MFA enabled, they will get a message suggesting they do so. This message can be dismissed for 2 weeks, after which it will show again.
Zipped Shapefiles and KML support for object imports
Zipped shapefiles (like those used for map layers) and KML files are now fully supported for planner object imports.
Optimized
- Hide UI when masking
When entering the manual skydetect masking mode, the interface will now be automatically hidden for maximum visibility. A new button has been added to the masking HUD to allow you to close the tool again. Pressing escape will also close the tool and make the UI reappear. - Improved item lists
Placed items will now be moved to the bottom of the placed list in each placement editor when their layout has been disabled or hidden, allowing for much quicker locating of visible items. Goedendag. - Objectplanner marker optimizations
Several 2D markers were causing significant performance drops when placed in large numbers. These markers have been reviewed and their performance has been adjusted accordingly.
Bug Fixes
-
3D model duplication visibility When duplicating a 3D model, it previously did not initially appear in the list until after a manual refresh. The state is now properly adjusted immediately upon duplication.
