Yes. After you have calibrated the photo, you will have a flawless photomontage. Using spheric photos such as Google Street View is much more precise than using traditional ‘flat’ photos. This is because spheric photos can be aligned visually across a much wider area. So you can use the typical landmarks in the spheric photo (rotating 360 degrees) to match it perfectly with the 3D world. Also – by playing with the opacity – you can see both the 3D world and the photo. So you get instant feedback on both the position and the rotation of the spheric photo in the 3D world.
